Christensen Courts has 30 one bedroom units and 42 efficiency units. It is a 5 story high rise complex located at 711 N. 6th Ave., Pocatello.
The complex has 2 handicapped accessible units.
The units are unfurnished but come with a stove, refrigerator, carpeting, mini-blinds and air conditioning. The 2 elevators allow easy access to each floor. Laundry facilities are located on every other floor for your convenience.
The Tello bus serves the complex and Albertson's provides a bus service to take the tenants grocery shopping once a week.
The tenants enjoy pinochle, bingo, game night, coffee hours, and potluck dinners.
To qualify you must be 62 years of age, disabled, or near elderly (between 50 - 62 years of age). The annual income limit is $28,950 for one person, and $33,100 for two persons. The rent is based on 30% of your adjusted income.
We are also accepting applications from single persons for Christensen Courts who meet the income guidelines and eligibility criteria. They would only be housed if there are no eligible elderly, disabled, or near elderly applicants on the waiting list willing to move at the time of offer.
In order to more accurately predict the waiting list the housing authority pre screens incoming applicants for criminal history, credit history, landlord references or non related character references.
